Free Continuing Education Classes for IBEW Members

2

No more scheduling and paying for your own CEU classes
when you are a member of IBEW Local 288!

Not only are CEU credits needed to renew your electrical license, but quality continuing education is important to your career.

As busy as our lives are, several electricians wait until the last second to complete their education, reducing the time available to take classes. More often than not, they turn to online coursework to complete their obligation. While the classes are approved by governing bodies, they lack in-person training, and, depending upon a student’s learning style, may not provide the best retention rates.

The Northeast Iowa Joint Apprenticeship Committee (JATC) training center is constantly on the move in an effort to stay ahead of the technology curve. We have a responsibility to react to training requests as our contractors and electricians become familiar with the technology they want to pursue.

Continuing Educations classes are offered throughout the year, during an evening after work or on a Saturday. Lunch or dinner is brought in, so you are able to participate in the classes with no worries.

IBEW Local 288 and its employer partners with the National Electrical Contractors Association believe in promoting the safest working conditions, including training members/employees in First Aid/CPR, which is offered throughout the year for our members.
